That bumper to bumper drafting they do causes a lot of heat build up in the rear car. They run 30lb in the systems I was told - and I have a vague idea that the rules for 2012?? restricted the pressure levels allowed in the radiator. That is a lot and I wonder who does their systems. Those housing issues are a damn nuisance in the ford. Frankly, some sort of remote or in-line thermostat housing would be better. You could machine it up and at least get some precision around the sealing. 1 Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/87046-specific-circuit-intercooler-requirements/page/3/#findComment-1446204 Share on other sites

Even if it it states on the drums that it can be used for cat engines. Have you tried genuine ford coolant? So you can take your thermostat out and machine off the vanes on your ford water pump. That will allow for maximum flow when you need it.
