Ba Falcon - Mp3 Audio Possible?

I was just wondering if there was a way to modify the standard stereo in the BA's to support MP3 audio, or is the only possibly way an mp3 stacker, or playing mp3's through an iPod connected to the standard stereo.

It's just that I bet quite a few people are sick of carrying lots of CD's around, and would like to run MP3 systems in the BA Falcons (and I know replacing the headunit with an aftermarket one would be basically impossible) :)

Once you hook up the Auxilary thing, how do you then hook up anything to that?? do you then neeed like another connection or what??

When you connect the aux input, the connection it supplies is a standard 3.5mm female audio input connector (Same size as the headphone socket on a portable mp3 player or walkman.) So you then need to connect the the aux input with a male to male 3.5 mm lead (looks like the end of headphone lead at both ends) most portable mp3 players come with these leads anyway. Hope that helps

If I cannot get an aftermarket mp3 headdeck in there I will most likely go a mp3 stacker and FM modulator this works by just tuning your stacker to a radio station... my local shop swear they're the way to go.

who knows..

good luck none the less

Ditch the FM Mod idea and feed the audio from the stacker directly into the AUX input.

That should be easy enough. Just make your own AUX input that terminates in RCAs somewhere near the stacker. You can still have the 3.5mm input in the dash too, it'll (assuming you hook it up right) disconnect the boot stacker when you plug somehting intot he 3.5 jack...

A.

Yeah mate you just need to go to Dick Smith or similar and buy a 3.5mm to Twin RCA adaptor or a ready made cable with a 3.5mm on one end and RCA on the other. This will give you left and right audio input for a PS2 or any other RCA input.
