Hey fellers,

Has anyone done or thought about raspberry pi for the carpc

I'm wanting to know if it's possible to use in a BF falcon with premo color icc

I've most of the stuff needed from previous projects such as

1 - Touch screen overlay + drivers

2 - 2 spare color icc units incase I damage 1 :)

3 - raspberry pi

4 - Centrafuze for windows but not android other OS's

I'm missing something to convert HDMI to what ever that falcon screen uses composite I think

- Dan

Hope it goes well mate. But with the advent of tablets abd smartphones - there maybe other alternatives now. We have used the Raspberry Pi at work - it's a gr3at device!

Excuse the epic thread revival (blame the search function)

I am currently in the process of setting up a pi in my BA. Did you end up getting it all running?

I have everything working except the touch overlay, but I suspect I have a faulty controller.

Spyathe, I have a pi setup in my car with a touch overlay that has been working.

What OS you running on the pi? and is it configured for touch screen inputs?

I am running the latest wheezy OS with XBMC and navit from a guy called Andrei Istodorescu, the touch screen support has all been setup in the kernel.

I am getting some input via touchscreen but only in the top left corner of the screen. XBMC (Kodi) has a calibration plugin but it doesn't seem to help

They have ginger bread running on the pi but I think it stopped there? I tried it but it was laggy and very buggy. Light weight linux with the applications you want is going to work better in the long run
