Running a raspberry pi 2 b+. Running retropie distribution and openelec. Still ironing out the bugs thoughhttps://youtu.be/uO_U10YgFmoSent from my SM-N910G using Tapatalk

My_XR6_Turbo Member 282 Member For: 20y 6m 2d Posted 03/05/16 10:30 PM Share Posted 03/05/16 10:30 PM I have just finished my carputer. I ended up using an old netbook with an SSD drive and a CGA to VGA converter. What I did was run constant power to the converter box for it to keep it's settings. I have left the car for 3 days and the battery is fine. I tried using all different carputer software but in the end I went with Kodi and used a carputer skin. I also installed Remote Phone (www.justremotephone.com) which allows me to answer my phone using the touch screen (Android phones). It does not allow Bluetooth audio pass through but it does allow you to answer and select speaker phone. It also displays your SMS's and if you want reply back to SMS's (not recommended while driving). If anyone is interested I can write something up.
