The car is an 09' G6ET with 90K on the clock. I've owned it for about 6000 KM's without any issues. The car was tuned about a week before the idle issue started but I don't think the two are related. The engine code indicates that camshaft timing is over advanced. When I cold start the car it sounds like the cam is ticking over too quickly for the idle to keep up, then it drops to regular idle speed (~500RPM) and the shakes rythimacly, approximately 1.5 times per second. I noticed adding revs using the accelerator the problem goes away, but after adding 100RPM to the tune and driving it for only a few minutes the problem returns just as bad as before. The code can be cleared but will always return, generally after a cold start. So far I have cleaned out the throttle body (no change) and I am considering changing the oil for the possibility of incorrect viscosity oil clogging the VCT sensor, which can apparently cause this issue. I remember a similar issue occurring in my previous car (AUIII), caused by a large chunk of the intake manifold gasket breaking off. Is this also an issue for the FG's worth exploring further for my problem? Can anyone provide anymore advice to solve this? Thanks in advance

Mine would be fine for first minute or two when the engine is cold and then kick in exactly as you said.As Mick said it could also relate to the timing jumping a tooth. Thanks for the advice. I was unable to locate the thread you mentioned using the search function ratter, would you happen to have a link? Is this the kind of thing a home mechanic could do or would you suggest I take the car to a professional? Thanks!
