Try and get a second hand one if your really struggling on budget. You can make 300rwkw on the Factory Cat-back Exhaust, Switch to a Highflow Cat though as it is going to be the first thing that will restrict it in the exhaust. If you want to get a better tone try and listen to exhausts in person and not youtube videos. Maybe instead of going a full exhaust you could keep the stock one and perhaps switch out a center muffler with a big magnaflow muffler or delete a factory muffler. In my experience with exhaust I find you cant go from what people say, quiet to one person is loud to another.2. For 300rwkw you don't need a big aftermarket Intercooler, I made 300rwkw with a F6 Cooler, then went to a big aftermarket one and didn't notice much difference at all. Unless you are constantly putting your foot down and heating up the Intercooler a lot, a standard FG F6 one will do. If you do decide to get a aftermarket Intercooler, Proccess West has the best with no cutting required. Be careful on these cars the factory Intercooler pipes are known to blow off so that is why lots of people upgrade their piping, some people have had no issues for long times with high power where as some people have reported their pipes falling off with stock power even.4. King Springs on standard struts are great and make the car handle very good and still be comfortable to drive. When I drove mine with King springs I thought for how well the car handles it gives excellent comfort, while it wont be Lexus Like, it's not going to be annoying at all and very nice to drive really5. Tyres, everybody is going to say something different and there is no real way to compare without trying them back to back yourself because everybody has different alignment, pressures and springs/struts that affect how the car is going to grip. With 300rwkw I found Michelin Pilot Super Sports give amazing grip, for the most they just stick and don't spin, instead of feeling the car chirping and spinning you just feel the gearchanges and more power. Spend good money on tyres, after all the money I spent I can say my tyres were the best mod I did and make sure to get the wheel alignment checked. dustyae86 Member 46 Member For: 13y 6m 9d Posted 28/11/13 09:05 AM Share Posted 28/11/13 09:05 AM 10k to me sounds like a pretty good budget.most of the stuff has been covered except the brake side, I personally wouldn't go EBC greens on a road car, you will end up crying in weeks that they are too noisy and so onGood year eagle F1's haven't heard of those for years, but if they are still the same sh*t tread pattern they used to be they get VERY noisy as soon as the get some camber wear on them, if you want a nice sticky tyre, as suggested the nitto invos seem like a good tyre or my suggestion is bridgestone potenza re003 have ran these on another car(well the earlier re002) and they are an amazing tyre Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/86884-fg-xr6-turbo-beginner-mod-question-please-help-me/page/2/#findComment-1442903 Share on other sites

You can save alot if you fit the stuff yourself to. Injectors - 600$ Fuel pump/surge tank 700$ 2nd hand or 1000$ new Full exhaust mild 4 inch 1200$ or stainless 1600$ Pw/plazmaman Intercooler/piping 1500-2000$ Valve springs 300$ (around 600-800$ to fit though) Ported turbo/bigger flapper/actuator (around 1000-1200$ job depending where you are) Custom tune (1500-1700$) includes box This will net you around 320-330rwkw as the standard turbo maxes out here, optional to go the next step as you have all supporting mods. Gtx3582/precision6235/mta750 (all around 1600-2000$) These will be good for 400-450rwkw on pump 98. You can do a turbo side intake, they cost around 1000$ unless you can pick 1 up 2nd hand but cost to power increase is definetly not worth it unless youre like me and want the fully sick dose. Prices are just there abouts and shouldn't be taken as an actual legitimate figure, merely from my personal experience in purchasing parts and from what ive seen.
