Dunno about those guys

But I got my kinugawa billet wheel balanced at precision turbo wetherill park Sydney

Heaps of places can do it

I'm a bit confused about the impeller part,

Is there something wrong with the turbine?

Cheers mate,

I couldn't remember Ray Halls name as it was always on the sponsor board at the Townsville drags and was hoping someone here would do it but NOOOOO....

MTQ here just kept on and on about warranty which I kept saying I don't care I just want it balanced and their reply was yeah until it sh*ts itself then we will be in court! Whinging soft *beep* which is a big pity for this town...

Will call him tomorrow and hope for the best

I put a KTS Billet wheel on 6 months ago WITHOUT balancing and it works better than it did with the original wheel.

I highly recommend KTS.

Just make sure when you put it on that you dont bend the shaft by overtorquing the nut.

The turbine and compressor wheels are balanced. The issue does not lie with balance so much, It lies more with RUNOUT of the turbine shaft.

No the turbine is fine it was the impeller/compressor that has small chips and marks in the fins

Got a link turbotrana from where you got your KTS from?

When you say runout on the turbine shaft isn't the turbos shaft one single piece all the way through? Does the turbine side get a wobble in it somehow or am I completely off the mark here and it has to do with the amount of play? Haha

Just had a read and understand that if there is runout more than the tolerance on the turbine end then it would mean that the compressor end would wobble more (obviously) which it doesn't as its not scraping the compressor housing or virtually any play that I can see or feel?

Best I could do would be to use my father in-laws dial gauge or dont bother?

Peoples thoughts on getting it balanced or not?
