heh... I was worried about mine being stock too.... but so were most of the rest...

in the interest of a group activity... has anyone ever done skidpan? is it educational or just hoonery?

yep - we have done skip pan.. its seriously lots of educational fun :spoton:

pretty sure its no longer allowed at Mt Cotton because of the noise factor and complaining residents etc.

must be time for another, I think it can be done at Gympie however last time I investigated it wasn't with instruction

a skidpan in gympie yeah iv heard of that one, that's the one as u come into town and see the "welcome to gympie" sign and hit the handbrake :stirthepot:

yea id love some skidpan.... I dont think im ready for a beginners course in near stock XR6t circuit racing.. but skid pan I'll have a crack at....

back in QLd next week.... looking forward to it.... filled up at a servo in sydney and damn sure didnt get the 98 octane I paid for.... dodgey servo *****colourful string of clever curses*****

The last I heard the Gympie skidpan was closed to car enthusiast by the new management, not sure why. I've done a couple of skidpan days over the last 12 months @ Mt Cotton with SDT (including instructors), so as far as I know they are still available. The only thing is noise, the car must be below a certain level or you'll be asked to leave by the noise police (facility managers).

Personaly I think skidpans are the most fun you can have with your pants on. I'm keen to go again.
