I know the XR club of QLD get their own area and they get to drive all the way in. If we can get some decent numbers, I'll see if QLD raceway will let us have our own little section.Adam

NighEve Member 193 Member For: 20y 2m 29d Posted 28/02/05 09:15 AM Share Posted 28/02/05 09:15 AM I drive that stretch 5 days a week in my ute; and have done so for the past 3 years. The comment regarding the log trucks is very valid (but usually only at certain times of the day). The roads are pretty bad and there's usually some half-arsed council job being done (so it would be best to check for this beforehand). Trust me; the way they fix the roads out there is to throw some little blue rocks of death across the road on a blind corner with a sign about 10m beforehand so that you have heaps of time to prepare for a 4 wheel side around the corner.... Let me know the time you are preparing to do this so I can give an all clear Joel

Come to think of it, if people wanted to do a pinic thing for lunch half way there is a very nice camping/park spot called Bigriggin on the way (about 7 minutes off the main road); good for a BBQ and game of cricket etc. Only a thought (because Beauy is pretty non-eventful as for lunch IMHO).
