It seals the leak and the revs smooth out Edited 22/03/17 01:13 PM by arronm

I have used butane from a camping stove canister, directed with a small clear hose to diagnose an intake manifold leak. Spray a bit where you are testing for a leak and listen for changes in how the engine runs. Obviously - be careful not to set anything on fire. Do it in the open. Let it dissipate. Make sure there is nothing to ignite the gas.

The only reason why I thought it was over-active injector due the PCM reading great economy figures (9l/100) when measure is far worse (13l/100) on the highway only. I'll start checking the Manifold tomorrow

And I would swap it for a turbo or blown soarer with a v8, t56 and aftermarket ecu. Don't like my chances though

Not a problem with the intake manifold Gasket, Big shout out to @molch Who swung by and gave me a quick demo of HP Tuners. Think I'll be going down this route now Like I said from the start, Im now almost certain its a REG or Injectors Issue. As quiet a few runners were covered in what looked like dried fuel residue. Ill try and buy another KPM 4 bar reg and if that doesnt fix it throw some new 1000cc injectors in there. If it is my injectors that have failed, It'll be incredibly dissapointing considering I've heard nothing but good things about the IDs.

You'll always have dried fuel residue in wet intake runners.
