It's good that there's a fair bit of competition out there. I would go with who ever is willing to fit it and offer warranty locally, saves the hassles later on if something does go wrong.

Seems old mates on the money with it. No two boxes are the same. If it was me I wouldn't build it and go Cyro NO way, billet all the way even though Chris haven been proven to be ok. Best bet would be to ask what the box can handle and make sure it's warranted for that. Does seen like there's a good zf builder in each state so choice shouldn't be to hard

Exedy stg 2 clutches are direct fit, no mods needed to the box.

Yet the prices have gone up for rebuilds????

I don't understand.

Niz Shaft is $2300

CMS billet is $1950

Exedy stg 2 retail for $900

Seal kit and oil filter is roughly $100

Oil (LG6) is $250

That comes to $3550 (Niz shaft) or $3200 (CMS shaft)

Using GW oil reduces the cost by another $150

The rest is what the shop charges for R+R plus the rebuild of the box.

They are now, they're thinner so no need to machine the box to accept the extra clutches.

I beleive the exedy clutches, billet shaft and regular servicing is all that is needed.

If my standard box can do 200 passes with enough power to trap 130 - 139MPH, then I'm sure the exedys would be enough for most.

Infact they may even be over kill and you most would be able to just use their stg 1 kit.

My 2c

Exedy kit for 700 if mattyp shares where he got that quote from

CMS billet shaft (assuming drops right in)

My tuner has reclutched several ZF's in the past

All up well under 4k fitted...should be right for all my car will ever see (small MTA750 turbo E85 440rwkw)

winner. maybe.
