Don't the smaller diameter rims have more problems on the inside clearance though?

18s and 295 would be nice

Ud want to run at least a 10" rim to sort a 295 and looking at my 18s if they were 1" wider either way ya'd run into problems in a few areas that the 20s clear..

Rednose is urs the project 305 car in here somewhere ??

Iv made up a spacer kit to space my blades out the extra 5-6mm in case I go wider but with the +38 its the outside where I dont have the clearance.. :(

Iv made up a few sets extra to sell so if ya want a set let me know.. I just have to drill em out and they are good to go ready to bolt on..

Yes that's mine, my wheels are +42 so just perfect.

You could get 4mm taken out of yours by a machine shop and then you'll be fine.

Might just need longer bolts as the studs will be 4mm longer.

Cool.. yeah iv already got the quote for that locally and the owner of Versus said I can take up to 5mm safely...

I just wanted it going for the time being but will do that when I need new tyres and go bigger..

Legally u need the width of the stud (1/2") in thread depth.. so ill have a measure and see how I get on..

Im a big fan like Matty is in profile so I dont know how ya cop the 25 series lol :)

So update time(ish)

The car has just ticked over 152000kms and still going strong although I must replace a few things next weekend

1. Brake pads, Currently on intima SS and find them not great so looks like going over to QFM A1RMs.

2. Serpentine Belt and Pulleys

3. FG NA XR6 Rocker Cover hopefully

I assume all these are pretty simple to do but if anyone has any advice or tips for the brake pad change and belt and pulley change that would be great..

Also long live the single spinner! Still going strong

Hey Matty, I'm thinkin abt going down similar road to you. However I have seen you say several times u love the smaller turbo. How laggy is the 82? Is the gtx a better all round option?

What RPM does yr turbo start to boost?

I guess I really need to take a car with a 3582 for a drive.

I really do

I've been doing some research and I can get a cover and wheel from the gtx3576 and build one with a spare fg compressor core I've got lying around for around $500

My 82 is billet wheeled and in the .5 cover so it's punchier than the traditional gtx3582r.

It starts spooling around 2k and pulls till the red line. It's a fantastic turbo. The only reason I'm considering swapping for my own gtx3576 is I do notice a loss down low especially while towing my dad's 2 ton boat. It does it easy but I do have to slip it back a cog to help pull it up hills.

I rate my turbo highly. I really do love it. They way it smashes roll 2nd and 3rd gear roll ons is just perfection
