However, a run will either:remove the rust and leave the metal bright and shiney remove the rust and leave behind a light coating of pad friction materialWhether you get result 1 or 2 depends on:the chemistry of your padsthe nature of your runThe only rust that should remain on the disc is:on the disc hubon the outside edge of the discinside the disc on the vanes or pillarsAny other rust present would appear to be wrong. It is the hub I am looking at. these rusty hubs look like they're 20 years old not 2. It hasn't got a towbar so it hasn't sat in the drink.
