A lot more power compared to when it was standard. I manage to get around 900-950km out of a tank if I'm cruising under 2k (70-80kph) and on the high way at 110kph I get about 700km. Cost me $107 to fill the tank up yesterday. Pretty good fuel economy if you ask me? All three have been nothing but dramas - all have had engine rebuilds, one of them twice, issues with brakes, engines regularly going into limp mode and having to be reset. Not trying to put you off, just letting you know my experiences with them. Luke GI think I jinxed myself by posting this yesterday. Trans went in one of our work d40's today. I was going to get a wildtrak, but had to wait too long. Ended up getting a bt50 GT with all the fruit and I'm loving it. TornadoJudd Donating Members 818 Member For: 19y 2m 12d Posted 16/11/13 01:53 PM Share Posted 16/11/13 01:53 PM I work on heaps of D40s that see regular mine use. They have really weak rear suspension mounts for the shockies on the diff housing. We are constantly welding them up with beefier bracing. They are gutless and have heaps of transfer case problems and the rear wheel speed sensors are in a vulnerable position if going off road. The new Rangers are even worse, with some utes having up to five engines put in them. We tow at least one ranger a week back to the dealership if not two at a time.
