Extra info on dodgy coils altho I think OPs problem sounds like Vsprings

P035x is the code for the coil packs. With the x being for the cylinder number, p0356 number 6 cyl.

Scan tool or xcal will show. On mine with all but 1cyl throwing code it did not illuminate the engine light.

Today I read this thread, put foot to floor in BA, came on boost nicely, then real rough idle when I stopped.

all on private property of course, would never drive like that on a public road.

160,000 ish maybe like 170 now.

it's been flogged to hell for a long time so wouldnt be surprised if valve springs were needed.

it's got rough idle that's getting worse, im trying to get myself in a FG and get rid of this car haha!

Hi guys from what I've gathered reading above a rough idle after a high rpm squirt is a tell tale sign of rooted valve springs? Anyone recommend someone reputable that will install new springs gold coast/Brisbane region

I probably would have gone crow but elite supply and fit atomic with some sort if warranty so I just went with that, I think it was $900 on the dot

having said that I am using their springs and balancer
