Was always under the impression that the f6 valve springs would last but obviously not. Any reccomendations in valve spring department. Plazmaman always seems good. Does the car need a re tune after valve springs aswell? I was also down over 10rwkw after having springs put in at XFT (crow springs) so opted for a retune, picked up some power (322 before springs, 236 after), I'm so keen to see my mph now that my ZF is rebuilt and isn't slipping! Heat affects the steel and contributes to the lose of spring force. 1 Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/86771-difference-between-failing-valve-springs-and-stuffed-coilsplugs/page/2/#findComment-1440436 Share on other sites

Had noticed a huge power loss for some time. Got so bad in the higher gears was like traction control was kicking in. Ran 11.3@113mph so power was definately down. Priblem only realy showed up in higher gears. Pulled the codes on the xcal(no check engine light) and sure enough all coils bar num 2 were playing up.
