I have just had my car tuned by joe at cms it is a ba series 1 it ended up making 340kw atw and 1165nm torque and now my transmission has decided it didnt like the dyno or the extra power it is making

what are the options I have when it comes to my gearbox

who would you recommend in sydney to rebuild box or other options. I have heard its a massive job to change to 6speed auto and not worth the cost to do conversion

who has modified there 4 speed auto and where and what did it cost and how do they handle the power after they are modded

I am a little disapointed that my car is making good power and I can not get to use it as box slips on boost and now have no 4th gear

any help would be appreciated

thank you

Andrew

yes he sends them away to preston automatics in vic he said I would be looking at around 4500 plus labour have rang a few places today have spoke to craigs automatics in warwick farm for 3200 drive in drive out and will handle my 450rwhp and 1200nm of torque he said it will handle up to about 650hp at the engine.

the only thing that I have a issue with is he told me it will have a full manual valve body and be full manual and shift with the tiptronic shift all the time I can understand if it was a race car but this is a street car

Bayswater in Melb also are well known for 4 speed autos, you will be looking at 2800-3k, and they are strong also. a couple of there customers have ran 9s and high 10s with there built Btr's.

Call Phil from Bayswater Transmissions and have a chat.

Mine was built 6 yrs ago and 150,000kms.

Hey mate, go see tony dominello transmissions, his the best in sydney with the btr 4speed, my box is 4 years old now an have over 400rwkw pushing through it with no dramas at all.

I have had it on joes dyno heaps of times, run mid 10s, an thrashed daily an never have I ever had a problem.
