$50k for an XR6T? This is madness.

I'm referring to RRP, FG MkII is still listed as $50k drive away.

Your talking about bean counters cutting costs where they can and phasing out the Aus models....pipe dreams are fun but reality is a bitch.

If they've already paid for the parts and they're lying around, why wouldn't they?

A. They need a surplus of stock for spare parts

B. They aren't going to spend the money in paying extra for labour on the line to add parts to run.

C.They aren't going to spend the money on extras that wont sell, the market just isn't there for it.

Looks like the returning XR8 will get basically the 335 FG/FH motor with a 375kw overdose arrangement for short squirts. Might be an impressive package. But I got thinking, they're not really doing anything other than maybe upping the blower pressure a little & letting it rev out more.

But then I thought, what will the GT output? Could be looking at ~400kw? Base tune? Would be epic

No FPV post September 2014 mate, this was confirmed by Ford months ago.

XR8 will get carry over 5.0 supercharged engine and it has not been confirmed if it will be the 315 or 335 unit.
