Im curious to know how they perform on a B Series engine with a Nizzer Plenum,Big Big Cooler and 4" dump and SMB exhaust.

(I just need to pull my finger out.....)

I can tell you that a stock b series actuator with a ported Garrett housing cannot hold anymore than 9psi up top. (the rest of the intake/exhaust is stock B series so the gate is just getting blown open)

Ralph I had the same issue on my B series with a ported housing and stock actuator, don't recall the exact numbers but had to fit a 12psi actuator to get it to hold boost.

hummm I plan on upgrading the turbo to gtx 3582 spec in near future I wonder how much it would cost to retune it if I put the new actuator on it surly it coulnt be more than a 1hr on the dyno and if its gonna make it pick up 20kw or so than that's a cheap mod, might have to ask him about it again

Mick can comment on this but I think the fuel pump could be starting to struggle at that point too..

That's a lot of boost for 300rwkw too

For port and flapper mod with 12psi actuator, installed and retuned you're looking at about $1000 give or take. that's probably on the cheap side for a good job though

depending on the cars mods a flat 12 can be hard to get, but some will SMASH MY DATE hard in to make the car feel stronger and this smashing of the boost may help it get a little more in the top end but it is because it is falling over from a higher level.

one of my customers ran 11.6 with 302 rwkw in complete street trim a few years back.

Not all the small turbo cars will make 320-330 rwkw some are maxed out at 315

Mine hits 15psi but pretty stable at 14psi, made 308rwkw on a stinking hot day in January.

Has been like this for 3yrs almost.

The graph for the Dyno sees boost drop off at about 4250rpm but I don't like hammering the revs anyway, much prefer the early power.

so is it stable or does it drop off? you say it does both, I'm confused :)

Doesn't spike is what I mean, lt comes up to 15 Then settles at 14 until about 42/4300 then fades/ stable till it drops off, don't see the confusion in it mick ?
