Impressive.

I think the key thing is ensuring the turbo you make to bolt on to a taxi like our cars is to ensure it will last 100 000ks as most of the time these things get driven further than a 1/4mile at a time.

Keeb as to see how these go. We are all spoiled for choice these days with GTX/MTA/B org Warner and Precsion options (and im sure there are others im not familiar with)

Totally agree that longevity is a concern, but how can you be so concerned with it when the factory turbo is lucky to last 100 thou k's in perfect condition while stock let alone running higher boost?

If we all want to drive around in 600hp cars that have no issues we should be buying AMG SL65's or the like - and even then high end cars have special maintenance requirements

For $350 you can upgrade the design to be stronger/more durable like Garrett with the Precisions.

Wasn't aware factory turbos were sh*tting themselves at around 100k - exception being when oil isnt changed, screen not cleaned and so on.

Not so much FG turbos since the rear housing has a higher nickel content, but the earlier ones were often seeing cracked housing and failing bearings by 50 thou in some cases...

What I'm saying is that there are going to be mixed results with any product, so it's better to look at it from both sides.

Also, that S13 is still a street driven car and regularly gets more abuse than 90% of our cars...

There's 4+ low mount T3 turbo options for our cars now that will make over 600 rwkws.

So yeah very spoilt for choice and the look at peoples faces when you lift the bonnet on your 9 sec car and they see what essentially looks like a stock looking set up!

Good times.... Good times!
