Would be cheaper than the borg warner efr where everything needs to be re-engineered and in the ballpark price of the precision bolt-ons. Skids4kids in the mid....not the bum like some Member 609 Member For: 11y 10m 2d Gender: Male Posted 15/01/15 08:21 AM Share Posted 15/01/15 08:21 AM Borg warner only needs the front part of dump modified,power steering relocation which I just did on mine for under $200 and the intake tweaked a little if it suited a Garrett beforehand.9180 will be my next choice of turbo when I get a stronger trans than the BTR....I think the 9180 has enough in her to eclipse the 6466 and not be bugger all more laggy.The GTW range is a great addition to Garrett...sizing they were really missing.Expect them to make claimed figures which is a good thing....spool Im not convinced on yet in regards to say a 6466 in comparison...its going to spool the same as the GTX at best but that's not laggy by any means.Ratings are usually made with turbo being in T4 guise also...knock 50hp off whatever they say if running T3....same with any brand. 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Skids4kids in the mid....not the bum like some Member 609 Member For: 11y 10m 2d Gender: Male Posted 15/01/15 01:24 PM Share Posted 15/01/15 01:24 PM Haven't used mine yet just finishing the fuel system.The peak of 850hp is ample for myself as it will spin up well over 400rwkw at 100kmhr with my setup and still push high into the 400s till redline at moderate boost.I'm after more average power than just peak so to speak.With my converter its hard to say when its going to spool as its going to flash to 4k straight away....I know on a stock ZF the same turbo as mine has the gate cracked just loading her up at idle 2 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
