Clay bar to remove grit and impurities. Lots more to do between that and a final coat of wax if you're real fussy or have/want a black or dark glossy car where swirls etc are more prominent, our silver car would be a waste of time to go this far...

Silhouette on the other hand would look top drawer but cannot be arsed !

Just high pressure wash first with just water then bucket wash clay bar then do the polish.

If you don't have a pressure washer just goto car wash and do it their first wash it properly then bucket it wash it at home it carn't ever be to clean before you use a clay bar.

You can buy a clay bar kit. AutoGlym sell them with a spray, clay bar, a spray bottle to keep the clay lubed up, a few cheese cloth rags and some polish for $30-50.

It's like blutak and important to keep kneeding it as you use it. Also if you drop it on the ground throw it in the bin as the smallest stone caught in it will scratch your car up.

Also you shouldn't use it too often as like cutting a car it will slowly take off your paint.

Car wash, Carpro Iron X applied with snow foam lance.

It high lights any rust by going from pink in color to purple and changing back to metal.

Great on rims with lots of brake dust!

Polish I use is Permanon.

I mix 200ml distilled water with 10% platinum in spay bottle and mist it onto car after wash (still wet) and wipe on with micro fibre.

As I go I wipe off excess with soft dry micro fibre.
