In the mean time, the boost guage now on my A pillar matches the ODB2 readout.. and I've been able to completely stop the cutting out just by taking my foot off a bit when the boost hits 9psi.. (and not stomping too hard and fast in the first place)With regards to the actuator, I wrote to the guy I got it from and sent him a photo of the spring, he told me he forgot to put the 7psi spring in and left the 12 in there. He has since sent me the 7psi spring express post so I suppse the upside is that I got a free 12psi spring. The unit seems really well made and very solid (the actuator I mean)Talking to Mathew at bullet performance about using my mongoose cable to upload a 12PSI tune made to suit my mods, and then using binary editor to allow me to make custom adjustments to my turn in real time from my carpoota. Also talking to SS auto in Perth about him doing my JTG liquid gas install.. he tells me that JTG won't work with 60 pound injectors as it only goes up to 45.. so now I'm looking to swap some nearly new siemans deka 60 pound injectors for some Green Giants or similar. These puppies.. I didn't even jack the car up.. just put two wheels on the curb, two on the road and slid under.Speaking as someone who has plans to spend about 7.5 grand on my car in the next 5 months (JTG, T56 and tuning stuff) I'm fast learning the meaning of the whole "measure twice cut once thing". Was going to mod the wastegate too.. only to discover that it has a turbotech modded and ported housing already... win! makes me wonder what else isn't standard in the engine. be nice of it had HD valves and scat rods. 1 Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/86675-heap-of-bits-and-pieces-for-new-ba-xr6t-ldle-and-overboost/page/2/#findComment-1442215 Share on other sites

I've been too busy/lazy to get under my car but doing exactly what you described and just backing off from full throttle to avoid the issue for now. Its going in for a diff leak fix and brake line recall in early Jan so I will have the wastegate actuator checked out then.
