Hi all,

So I just had the sh*t scared out of me and I'm not entirely sure what actually happened. So I started my car, let it warm up for about 20 mins as it hasn't been touched in about 5 days. Took it for a few runs up and down the street taking it relatively easy. I took it up and back one more time and gave it a decent hit. It went to just over 4k revs and I heard a loud backfire kind of sound and then backed right off. Went to turn the car around and then it stalled on me. Then driving back to the garage it was making like a thudding sound and the wheel was vibrating... Needless to say by that point I was shaking scared. I put it back in the garage and let it sit for a min and shut it off... Turned the car back on after about 30 seconds and all was fine. No rattles or thuds or bumps... gave it a small rev and nothing. Smooth as. So I'm thinking, what the hell happened!? I didn't red line it or anything, like I said it was between 4-5k revs... The car is a 6 speed manual Ba mk2 xr6 turbo with 120,000 kms on it. Any thoughts? cheers.

Might pay to give it a good service... Only just picked up the car last week and not really supposed to be driving it for another three weeks... Hopefully its just plugs!

So I took the car in to see Joe at cms... After a run on the dyno, he tells me the actuator is gone on it and it is overboosting... Hopefully replacing it will solve that problem...
