What is this digital speedo? Police Mode? :puke:

Dealer can change ECU ? settings to provide a digital readout of speed in kph on the dash. I believe it shows in the area where fuel consumption / DTE display is.

Police mode has this option, along with disabled speed limiter.....

I am not sure if it is readily available to non-police vehicles.

Get on nicely with your service manager, ;) and he might provide the mod.

hmmmm ummmm when I was ar in the northern territory I hit 240 and couldnt go past due to the limiter! I heard the limiter comes in at 230 but unless my speedo is out mine went to 240 no problem at all, so id say it should make 280 no prob.

:finger:

I'm with you on that one owna 240 and the limiter cuts in. For my 5 cents worth it would be a very brave man or woman (person) who was game to drive a T on standard suspension beyond this speed, it's a choice between a three legged racehorse or a broken masted yatch in a leeward sea.

Peter even if you can remove the speed limiter I reckon you're gonna have to do some suspension work. My guess is 280kph. Boot mounted parachute anyone? :ta::finger:

NOt to put a dampener on things.... but 300 km is a mighty quick speed and needs more than just sheer muscle.

So given that conditions aint great on the day (it will be in Melb of course  )

I reckon around 278km :pinch:

my 2 cents worth

Put me down for 287 (separate pieces of metal in the t5 case when you roll to a halt.)

Come on the T5 is not that bad surely? It has copped a lot of abuse so far and I agree that the gear shift is not that flash, though to my surprise it has not failed yet. What in your view is the wink link in the box?
