Sounds like a good move, though we dont want to damage the states radar otherwise the speeding fines will be on the increase again.

My manual ute has done the indicated 230km/hr thing (cut by the limiter) without the toneau cover very, very easily and it "only" has around 260kw atw - on a closed private road of course..............

So I would expect that thing to run to at least 270-280 unrestricted.

Depends on what you've done to the gearing I guess,

fold the mirrors in and remove the rear spoiler and I'll bet you get a few more K's out of it.

I've had mine to the limiter which is 230 on the digital readout in police mode. At that speed the dial reads about 242K/Hr.

IMO I think you'll see the 300 mark, you'll be wanting a nice FLAT straight road though.

Good point KEL, it might get a bit ugly if it breaks,time for some safety straps and a better tailshaft.

6000rpm in fifth gear with 3.46 should be about 290. Lift the rear end to 3.23 and expect to see 310. High speed harmonic whip will destroy the driven fifth gear in your T5 after about one minute of this though, if the torque load or heat doesn't kill the box first.
