Hey guys.

Sorry if this has already been covered. I did a search and couldn't find a definitive answer.

So I picked up the cheap intercooler through a friend the other day. I assumed at the time it was a bar and plate because I thought they only made the one style. After having a good look at it I am 99% sure it's tube and fin.

Does anyone know what power level these nizpro coolers will support?

I'm am only looking for about 300-320kw with basic mods at the moment however down the track I will most likely be doing a bit more (around 370kw). Am I better off selling it and getting their new bar and plate ones?

Thanks

hey mate
what supporting mods?
the pcpa kit? the piping is great but the cooler is shocking
my bro got me that and I only got a max of 285rwkw with id1000cc, 4inch dump and cat 3 1/2 cat back
the one thing holding me back was the cooler. it wasnt doing s&*t
getting temps up to 51 degrees after 1 run

changing the cooler and ill break the 300s easy

My tuner and alot of other people recomend the stage 2 process west kit, it may seem pricy a goo cooler is worth its weight in gold

I've got one of the original Tube and Fin Coolers from Nizpro. They came in the BA Nizpro Stage 2 Kits. Mine made 330rwkw at 14psi on the Nizpro Mainline Dyno. Their Stage 3 kit used the same cooler and made around the power that you are looking for. I found that the Tube and Fin cooler kept engine temps lower than the later Bar and Plate which Nizpro are using now. All the Nizpro intercoolers are great, so there is nothing wrong with the one that you have got.

Oops! Quite right Ratter. I remember Simon didn't use a Dyno Dynamics. But you are right. Am I right thinking Simon had something to do with the design of the dyno he uses? It was a long time ago when I used to go there. 2006 to 2010. Thanks.

Simon made his own dyno but it uses dynologic software which is the same as Mainline use, not sure whether his software is up to date but that should not affect the basic dyno operation

I'm in the same boat. I bought there earlier stage 2 thinking it was bar and plate -.-

I make 350rwkw now on a plazmaman 800hp cooler. Will I be able to make 400rwkw with this cooler? I'll be adding a nizpro plenum aswell and ID1000's

Also E85 later in a few months.

If this cooler is going to struggle I was going to upgrade to there big big one.
