Hey mate, I just got my BA all modded up and it feels great. I agree with the other boys in saying do the supporting mods first. I did them first and it saved my car in the long run. I did turbo oil line/filter replacement and valve springs before anything else. I was unaware that my oil filter was clogged and had begun to damage my turbo, just got lucky with that one. And as for the valve springs, I noticed a difference in the high end of RPM even at stock tune. Just feels alot stronger.

Now its got all the bells and whistles and made 363rwkw without any drama, but "safe tuned" at 308rwkw because of the weak bottem end in the BA models.

My opinion, I've been of my P's for a few years now, and the first thing we want is all the noisey stuff, so intercooler, air intake and middle muffler delete ticks all the right boxes and with a tune, gets you good power while keeping it safe.

Have fun !!!

all the above just don't forget all the basic service items that are often overlooked

eg oil filter, turbo oil line , boost solenoid maintenance , throttle body clean and fuel filter

correctly gapped plugs and good lubes

Sounds a lot , but being a BA I would want to make sure all these items are done

to ensure the optimum and most reliable tune

To the OP... Have you actually driven the car yet? I'm in the exact same situation as you and wanted to spend money on mods... This was before I drove it... These cars are much much faster than anything we could drive on our ps and I tell you what, it wouldn't be a bad idea to get used to it stock for a while... These things are weapons even stock... Might be worth considering that instead of spending the moeny and not being able to handle the massive increase in power and becoming a statistic... That's just my two cents anyways... I'm sure some other people would agree...

I agree as well. I was off my P's for 2 and half years before my tune. Stock is great to get used to turbo cars, and plenty of balls to have fun with !!!

Biggest regret was jumping into the car scene at a young age. I'd love to wallop some sense into my younger self, only way to learn though is to experience it I suppose.

2.7k p/y on car insurance on my bf turbo is now 610$ on my fg.
