Hey mate, I'm in the same situation as you... About to come off my p's and looking at mods already. Take a read through this, I know I'll be looking at it pretty closely when choosing my mods. Good luck!

I'm on my P's still and own a BA xr6t in WA, no high powered car laws here.

I don't recommend it if you plan on giving the car a world of hurt like I do and continue to do.

It'll cost you so much in repairs, to the point where I could have found myself in a much newer BF xr6t with the ZF 6 speed automatic!

Not saying every BA is going to be BAd but yeah if you'd like a long list of what I've had to battle with over the past 30,000 kms bringing me up to 160,000 ish now then please ask.

If your going to get a tune do some simple and cheap things first to make the most of it.

Highflow cat (can get them cheap off ebay)

Cut the middle muffler out

Intercooler upgrade (the small upgrade one that is bigger and thicker but uses the stock piping you can pick them up for like $50)

42LB injectors (can get them cheap off ebay)

Then that's enough to push the car over 250kw

My mate did a generic tune to his BA and it achieved over 250rwkw.He then custom tuned it later with a cooler, injectors and valve springs to see around 280rwkw.

Like the others have said mate save up and do it in one go.

If you flash tune the car now youre more than likely have to get another tune later down the track after the mod bug bites.

Anyway :Welcome2FordXR6t: mate
