Mine is raised also... What I meant is higher than what it is already

Mines set at 7200 with soft cut.

Not that I have ever bounced it.

Follow Rednose's tips and you cant go wrong.

Just don't let him try and tell you how to 60ft these things. Too soon Georgey!

Yeah. On the street it's crazy. Punch it. Change gears. Look out for civilians, don't smash the oil pump. Keep it straight etc . Then I gotta remember my daily has the shifter shifting opposite to the ford. Push up to go up ... Not down to go up lol

mine hits the limiter in manual mode but in drive it just cuts all power when it gets to the limiter point. really annoying when you boot it in drive and get wheel spin then it cuts all power then power cuts back in and sends you all over the shop. definitely getting it changed to hit limiter no matter what mode im in...

My car is still running the standard fg xr6 turbo so reving the car over 5000 rpm is a waste of time and the car will go slower . I always shift manually when driving the car hard on the street or track.

The few people I have met at the track that havent been happy with the time their car is running have all been leaving it in drive.

If you think there is a chance of getting wheelspin flick it over to perfomance mode before you accelerate that way if it spins just grab the next gear and keep into it.

A reminder that the ZF behaves or misbehaves according to what it's learned of the driver's habits, possibly this accounts for some not hitting limiter, thing is too smart for its own good.

Closed-loop shift control
A closed-loop shift control strategy ensures consistent shift quality across variations in transmissions and engines resulting in a more refined shift quality versus time and across manufacturing tolerances.

NOTE: The transmission will automatically up-shift at 5000 rpm to prevent engine overspeed when driven in the D position and 5500 rpm when driven in the sport position. However if the transmission has identified a sporty or enthusiastic driver it may delay the up-shift up to any point up to red line.

A snippet from my BFII manual - note it may have changed in FG, haven't seen the latest manual
