msutherland Member 15 Member For: 11y 6m 10d Posted 17/10/13 11:20 AM Share Posted 17/10/13 11:20 AM going to replace my fuel pump on my ba xr6 turbo ute, bit of a mission. im relacing it kuz it gets quite loud after uv been driving for 70km+ the mechanic said it kuld sh*t it self anytime so better to replace it. my problem is that I dont no if the previous owner(s) have upgraded it or the injectors. the guy I bought it off seemed to think id had been upgraded buy the previous owner. but not a definate. im just wondering if I buy a standard replacement and it has had upgraded injectors, will it effect the peformance and the motor running to lean or rich? or if it hasnt had an upgraded fuel pump or injectors and I put in walbro one will it again effect the peformance and/or make the motor run to lean or rich. whats my best option??? cheers matt Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

There is a fuel pressure regulator, but if the existing pump is tuned for and better than the one you put in it could under fuel I'd imagine?Get it to a reputable tune shop if you don't know what you are driving.
