I want to give the F6 a bit more go and have an idea of what I'm going to do. Just asking people's opinions on what power I could expect and if there's anything I should consider adding or changing from plan.

I've got a 2009 FG F6 with about 30,000kms on it. So far only mod is a growler intake. It's a manual.

The plan is HDI2 inter cooler (already purchased)

Port factory waste gate and larger flap (already purchased flap)

Upgrade actuator - recommendations?

Nizpro 4" system

New .7 A/R turbine housing (already purchased)

Injectors - recommendations?

In tank pump upgrade - recommendations?

I'd like to avoid the surge tank but would also consider an e85 tune while I'm at it just to see what it does.

Let me know what you think. Thanks

U can expect shocking rear tyre wear and excess fuel usage

Recommend id1000, e85, better cooler, upgraded regulator and surge tank. You should see high 300 and if you do valve springs maybe round 400. If you push more power you will lunch the clutch, so put that into your upgrade list as well.

what boost do you want to run?

and I would suggest a better intercooler, but just my opinion

I don't really have a desired boost number.

The comments on the cooler seem to be common - why is this? I had a read earlier about this cooler and saw one thread where (what I can only assume is) the manufacturer got scorned for not offering a battery side intake option. From my homework - that's the only downside to this cooler. There is some cutting required (radiator lower supports and a little nibble out of the bumper rail) but I'd expect that with any decent sized cooler.

I'd considered springs from atomic but was told the F6 springs are pretty good. They don't really cost that much, I just don't have the right tools. I considered buying the tool atomic made for the job-unsure on the cost.

Moneys in the bank for a clutch, I'd expect a shorter life but I rarely use the launch assist or pop the clutch.

I went 387rwkw with similar mods.

I'd say get the surge tank mate, it's cheapish insurance.

I just saw your sig - that's a pretty good indicator. thanks.

Did you upgrade your in-tank pump too? or kept that factory and just relied on the surge? I'd considered just doing the in-tank, surely should deliver enough flow?

When you say cheap insurance...I must be shopping at a different store to you - I don't see surge tanks (complete with pump) south of $1k.

I've spoken with Simon from Morpowa and will go with him for tuning.

Thanks again guys. Appreciate the input.

Just go with what simon recommends on all parts mate it will make everything easier and he might pass some love on with his costs for said parts

Cheap insurance because a new engine costs a heck of a lot more than a surge tank.
