Hey everyone there has been a number of times when I've told people I own a G6E Turbo and one of the first things they mention is rust. Apparently FG Falcons are known for having issues with rust (among those people were a couple of panel beaters).

I don't know anymore about it than that which is why I was wondering if anyone had any more info on this issue. Like where the rust starts, which part of the car is worst affected, why does this issue exist, is it every car etc. any information would be appreciated. Cheers!

Haven't needed a panel beater myself yet (touch wood) but I know a couple. I've heard it's under the hood along seams and around the hinges. Not sure what the explanation for that is though

The boot where the cable runs to the light in the wing it holds water and dirt. Have to clean it regularly.

Had to take the strut of my bootlid as that nut rusted out ffs. Old man is a panel beater too so it will probably never get fixed!
