No I have not used generic tunes. The ecu goes into limp mode intermittently. Have isolated the problem to the ecu, replaced with a second hand one, after a long drawn out process of diagnosing it.The car then retuned and the same shop and using the same xcal3.Am just wondering if this is a regular ocurrance, thought it would be pretty hard to spike these computers? Ie welding, any other electrical work?I've heard plenty of ECU's getting fried when the mechanic didn't disconnect neg lead on battery before working on it, but as for tuning only, nope, you'd be the first..... Maybe it has just developed a problem firmly in the sh*t happens category. Sometimes things just stop working.
