I'll try and make some time to get the cone off and get some photos. How about the oil on the turbo? That was definitely not there before. The thing is the owner didn't tune the car, some youngster tuned it

If I were you I'd go back and question the tune.

Obviously something isn't right, if anything the guy should have called you before he started to tune it and say hey these are the issues....Do you still want to go ahead cause this will be the outcome!

It might be best to name the tuner dude, this way we dont get shafted to.

I don't think name and shame are the right approach just yet..

When he posts up a photo of his compressor blades then we can start joining dots..

This is a relatively healthy FG turbo.. With what I think is a normal amount of oil in it..

As mentioned have a look at the turbo yourself, take a pic even and post up and the guys on here will tell you straight away if they're bent and how badly.

On a side note, does that afr graph look right? Jet, Mick etc? Seems just a bit all over the place

By no stretch are my afr plots much better as iam still learning but any of pitlanes AFR graphs could be used in a text book no question ;)

not every business has the owner as the tuner.

It's not up to the tuner to fault find if the car was presented for a tune only.

^^ This guy..

Plus the car only has F6 injectors (Sorry I don't rate airbox or middle muffler as significant power gains).. Unless the OP missed mentioning a hi-flow cat or gutted cat then surely the power isn't as 'down' @ 8psi as people are saying?

Would a normal cat converter cause the turbo to make more noise as it can't vacate the air quick enough?

Injectors aside the car should make more than 30rwkw after just a tune.

This thread needs pics of turbo fins already.
