BF4 is pretty sweet on the PS4 and haven't found anything in the game that will make the frame rate lag.

Diablo RoS on the other hand can virtually freeze the PS4 when taking on elites or the rift boss with the slow dome over them while I'm using my crusader with blessed hammer... This may be more in the software of the game though than the PS4's capability as with allot of games!

Tom knows what hes talkin about.

Intel i5/7 3770k/4770k

Nividia 760/770/780 or amd rx290/7990

Get minimum 8 but 16 gig is much better, at least 1600mhz. Ripjaw ftw.

Corsair h60/90 cooler

Atleast z77/79 motherboard, 87/89 is newest.

Corsair or similar good name 650+ power supply or 900+ if going dual card

Samsung 512gb SSD (absoloute must!!! Games load in instantly)

2tb minimum seagate/WD HDD.

youre looking at about 1000-1200ish k for an awesome build. Ofc just use this as a template, mix it up slightly depending on budget.

This will get you minimum 80fps on max bf4 settings or a solid 125 in high.

Edit; Also, a 120hz monitor is prolly the best thing I bought. The difference from 60hz is night and day.. games are silky smooth.. when you come from 30fps youll think everythings going in fast forward lol

Edit2: jackfrags made an awesome gaming pc for like 500$ a few months ago, worth the watch if youre on a budget!

Oh my bad I meant 2x8gb of ram

Oh really? I heard the fx8320s when over clocked will go 5.0ghz if really pushed and are the best bang for buck for a semi budget build

Edit

Video card is a Asus geforce gtx 650 and I could never buy a ps4. Even though it's the better console

Don't get caught up on ghz either, even when they are clocked at 5 they won't perform as well as intel for what you want.

I don't have an SSD and have no issue but as Az said, it will load into the game a lot faster with one, but won't affect actual game performance.

Also agree with 120hz monitor but not worth it unless you have a system capable of maintaining 120fps even at 100% load.

I managed to pick up a AMD 7990 6GB video card when building mine, they were running them out for $600 when rrp is like 1200. It's a monster, I pelt out 160-200fps.

Although my problem is I get caught up building the biggest and the best then only use it for a week before I remeber I don't have time to use it lol. Gathering dust atm.

Unfortunately even with all these parts none of us will ever be as good as Az lol.

yeah but you spend your time makin some good crust where I spend most of my time gaming so theres a gap between the average pub player and myself!

yep forgot to mention those 2 things (SSD and 120hz) but big tommy elaborated for me

AMD make mean cards and are hard to beat on value where as nividia is more name and flashy magazine advertising, obviously quality but more expensive. 650 is more on the lower-end of the 2014 scale, 760s are only a couple hundred $$ and are a very respectable card, or the 290 - masda has 1 of these and doesn't have an issue in the slightest.

Lads, was one of the best decisions I made.. only problem is now I can't seem to get my head around controllers at all.

Specially in this day an age, a beefy rig is well affordable where as it use to be something only LAN centers would be able to accommodate.

Keyboard/mouse is foreign for about a week then your muscle memory will pick it up and youll wonder how you put up with the inaccuracy and painfully slow turning speeds of console gaming.. and then graphics heheheh - youtube/twitch will never do 120hz/1080p/1440p/4K gaming justice, its something you have to experience for yourself to appreciate.

Its a shame destiny only came out on console. But I fixed the controller issue and the ps4 now sits snug next to my towers utilizing my K/B.. yea 1 game so far but ill get other playstation exclusives as they release aswell. I might stream on saturday arvo till late if I dont need a capture card.. I think the new gens stream straight to twitch but havent had a gander yet.

1440p is FTW! I didn't like the low resolution fast paced 120hz monitors. That matched with a GTX 780 is awesome. Forget the consoles, you can save money on PC (once you're there) by getting games way cheaper and they're far superior. It's a shame a lot of games now console exclusive, but there's still so many more on PC.
