From what I understand the ZF tune is the main concern of Input shaft breakage..and really how much difference would it make on the street...not the track but street.

Bels car has had the ZF tune in it since the day it was released, this tune has varied all the time, the car drives a lot better, has positive shifts, takes off in first gear every time and at this point has not broken an input shaft

Taking off in 1st is almost reason enough for me - so bloody annoying.

Should have remembered to add that to the list I worked out with Bel this arvo ;)

Hey rater would you say there is much to be gained over the quarter with the zf tuned.

Main thing I notice on the street with the standard zf tune is that when you get wheelspin you have to shift early so you dont hit the limiter because the standard shift is slow.

the gains would be pretty minimal, but the shifts can be made to be a lot cleaner, I have turned some of the spark cut back on on Bels car to help the trans live, the box is shifts reasonably firm but has the fart when the spark is dropped to protect the auto.

with the tune full torque can be applied while stationary which can help with the launch

Incorrect Ecu tune can be tuned by any tuner with the device/software. A license fee will apply (aprox $100), in this regard SCT is less flexible than HPT.

kgo:

That's what I ment, credits won't have to be purchased if returning to the same tuner in regards to a different one
