hi there,

iv just bought my first xr6 turbo and love it. just have a question regarding me electric windows, driver side. it was working fine until it starting struggling to wind it back up and now it only goes down, sometimes, and wont go back up without me pulling it up. does this mean it is the window regulator or switch or something else. please help,

try swapping with a switch from same model first .

my old car although not a falcon had the same problem and it turned out to be the switch :/

or I could be on the wrong path...

Window slides will be dry, and causing the glass to drag in the felt. Silicon spray in the channels will help.

Mine does it too, its normal. Unless you have burnt out the motor.

Just replaced my regularor in my xls. Its been struggling for ages to fully close, comes down fine but the other day it shatitself. When I took the door panel off part of the winder mechanism had fractured. Anyway got 1 from a place on sunshine coast via fleabay delivered next day for $63. Gave the tracks a bit of a squirt to aid movement works fine now.

Take the panel off and have a look, easy 10 minute job.

Btw ford wanted 260 for a new one.
