I've got the x-over and standard air box with the bottom front cut out and it has a little bit - and I mean a little bit - more spool noise than the standard fg turbo but Bizkets on the other hand with his turbo side setup (which sounds awesome btw) has quite a bit more spool noise than I do.

I don't know how anyone doesn't like it. I wish I could get the HKS t51r spool out of a 3576r with a 4" turbo side, would probably commence a sexual relationship with my car haha

If I wanted something that made a lot of noise when it wasn't really doing anything I'd get myself another girlfriend. I'd like it to shut up and behave like a normal vehicle until I poke it. And like my women, when I poke it, I want to hear noise

With my setup, I can only notice it between 8 to 13 (maybe 15) psi and in all honesty, I don't really notice it anymore coz I'm used to it already but if I listen for it, it's there - and from 15 'ish to 19psi I can't hear the spool at all over my Nizpoo zorst and the zorst isn't 'that' loud at ful throttle :)

Stick to the stock intake (cut it up though) if you want minimal noise. You will sacrifice response which is also outright power but that's life of you want it as quiet as possible and do not stick a pod filter on as this is just a "direct line of sight" to allow the noise both in and out!

Mine spools at idle on cold start program with the turbo side. I mean, really noticeable. If you don't like spooly goodness don't buy one or at a minimum, don't go turbo side. If you want to turn heads though - you'll love it :) Going under a decent bridge or tunnel, it sounds absolutely awesome together with my 2.5" twin S/S crackling away at WOT. I think for spool noise out of a low mount - nothing comes close.

ummm....why does your turbo spool at idle? Mine starts up cold around 1100rpm or so...then drops to 500rpm.

Fuel consumption must be fu*ked if everytime you drive you're hitting boost? lol

Does early kick in turbo automatically meaning tryefryer? Or can that be sorted in the tune I.e. progressive tune?

It most definitely can^^

My big tune - on the dyno sheet - looks more like the turbo is an 82 not a 76 but the lower powered tune does have the boost coming on alot quicker.

My tuner asked if I wanted the small tune to be a tyrefryer with everything to be full on as soon as possible but I can't afford the tyres all the time :)
