I think if you know the chra is low klm and healthy plus together with vsr balancing with the new wheel it's still viable then ok. If getting down to like a few hundred though you'd be better to go brand new out of box imo.

True that

When the gtx3576 had came on special was very tempted

Only thing that stopped me was halfway thru doing the same as mattyp - had bought a 3540 with 12lb actuator ($300!!) from a member on another forum

Already bought a Kinugawa 7 blade billet wheel and got port job and vsr done at mtq

Otherwise would have been a no brainer

So I've got a project coming up with a Spare FG turbo ive got lying around.

For my birthday I'm going to be buying a GT3076 11 blade billet wheel and gt3076 .6 cover

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Garrett-Compressor-housing-GT3076R-76mm-56-trim-wheel-anti-surged-t04e-4-inlet-/380115888079

http://shopping.kinugawaturbo.com/turbobilletcompressorwheelgarrettgt3037gt3076rgt30r57762mm56trim11blades.aspx

I'm almost certain it'll bolt up to the 35r CHRA.

I'll keep everyone posted with it.

Ive noticed that the specs are almost identical to a GTX3576...

This maybe a relatively inexpensive way of geting a high powered well spooling turbo for around $500

Let's see how we go.

Thanks man

The billet wheeled 3540 is going well, I just would like to see how it goes and get a bit more response for hopefully the same amount of power or it to be comparable
