Hey guys

Just a few questions you propabley know the answers to....

1. What are the best tyres to use with a xr6 turbo manual with aprox 430hp 18psi safe tune?

2. Are the Bf mkii gearboxes and clutches strong enough to handle that much power withou fault?

3. And whats the best intercooler kits to look at for this model and year?

We can answer these questions easily, however for you to find a solution you will have to search the hundreds of topics covering all of these points.

1. The best tyres are the best ones you can afford, don't skimp on tyres if you want traction. Nitto Invo's are fairly popular and well priced

2. The gearbox will hold plenty of power, the clutch won't last long at all. Mal Wood has a great range of products for your car

3. Process West, Nizpro and Plazmaman have great kits for the falcons, any of them will be great.

Do some more research with what mods people have done and the power they have gotten, your figure of 430hp running 18psi with a stock intercooler seems optimistic. If it does in fact make that sort of horsepower then I would say it is only for the first run on a dyno before heatsoak kills the performance.

Stock clutch fine just don't try not to load it up too much in 5th &6th.

Plenty of tyres will hold that, what size wheels do you run?

As for coolers, Plaz, process west, and nizpro will all help.

Edit. Beaten by senna. 430ho should be on around 12.5-13psi max.

Who tuned it? Those numbers are no good man, I would steer clear! That boost to power, somethings definitely wrong, maybe unhealthy motor pushed hard to make a figure.

Leaving it in 5th-6th and holding it at WOT will load the clutch right up, and that's were you'll see signs of slip first.

Most of that list is repair parts, although there are some good power parts.

Needs an intercooler asap though, that's why he has to pump 18psi to make that much power

There's like $1000-$1300 in performance parts there.

For a manual bf2 your going to pay that sorta $$ but yeaaaa, who tuned it?
