Hi, just wondering if anyone knows what oil pressure the ford fg xr6 turbo's should be getting. I have a oil pressure gauge connected to an oil filter sandwich plate and I'm getting around 50 psi. Does anyone know if it should be higher or lower? Im also usin 0w40 castrol edge oil but im thinking of going a 15w40 as recommended by ford. Cheers

Well I'm no expert but mine was the same with edge 0w40

22ish psi idling hot, around 50 while accelerating hot. When it's cold it's like 50 idling 70 odd accelerating

In a BF the mins are 19 at idle and 43 at 2000rpm. I doubt its changed with the FG. Keep the 0w40 as your still a 40 weight even if you change it, the 0 just means the viscosity is closer to the 40 visc at startup.

Since my gtx upgrade I'm seeing when hot my oil pressure can get down to around 16psi on idle, whereas it used to be around 19-20

Pressure still fine when driving.

Could this just be because slightly lower idle rpm with new injectors? Or what?
