Pwr Trans Cooler For Zf

I have noticed quite a few people went in a group buy for the heat exchanger style cooler to suit the zf. I was wondering how everyone is finding them?

My mates old man has milkshaked his twice and now facing a 6k bill I think I better take out insurance..

Also where is the best place to purchase them?

Seen them on fleabay for $750 plus post..

I replaced my heat exchange a number of months ago as a preventative measure... not much to report as you would expect, it just works. Trans takes slightly longer to get to temp but otherwise you wouldn't know it's there. I also serviced my ZF at the same time (60K km), oil still 'looked' good but shifts definitely feel better after doing the service.

I didnt get mine via a group, just from my local workshop, can't imagine you couldn't do the same. $700-$750 is about what the kit is worth. As an FYI the ZF service kit from Ford is approx $600. It includes 6 ltrs of ZF Lifeguard oil, filter & pan gasket.

Yeah thanks for the info I am running gulf western syntrans in my zf. As I expected it just works. I will be purchasing one shortly as I have absolutely no faith in the standard heat exchanger.
