Wife has been complaining about a thud noise when she starts her car in the morning.

It's a mk 2 G6eT.

At first I thought it may be some excess play in the driveline as she said it occurred when selecting reverse, but I found it occurred whilst sitting in neutral as well.

It sounds just like a solitary dc spike (dull thud) coming from the sub woofer about 10 seconds after car starts.

Doesn't do it every time though.

Anyone noticed anything similar?

Hey mate I have I MKII and haven't had any noise like that. Its hard to say what it could be without listening to it first hand.

Keep us informed to what the out come is. Good Luck

Tell her to dump the bodies first, can either be them rolling around thudding in the boot or if they are freshly killed there could be some nervous twitching still.

Thud is definitely coming from the sub-woofer on the rear parcel shelf...

It also "thuds" randomly whilst driving.

It sounds like there is an intermittent power supply connection to the sub amp.

I'll ask the service department what they think next time I drop by the dealership.
