Ford Freak, I thought the same thing as you, but as soon as you download the android app and use the live view, you can see exactly what is meant to be on the screen.

Having something that big on your dashboard is just 2008!!!!

:P

Hey Freaky,

I bought a Navman MiVue 358 last week and I have to say that I'm very happy so far. I wasn't keen on buying a product by a brand I haven't heard of, so I settled on the NM 358... (The 358 is the mid-tier unit with the only difference from the top model being GPS positioning and a better holder - Still has all the best features + the best resolution offered by a camera in the MiVue series)

Anyways, found one at "Bing Lee' for $169 with free postage, then I bought a $40 32gb, class 10 Micro SD from JB.

Super easy to set-up. 2.4 inch screen is easy to see and with reasonable resolution. Unit is very compact and is almost impossible to see in front of your rear view mirror.

There are numerous vid's on youtube, but remember that they compress the original so picture quality will be lower on youtube. Sadly, I haven't had much time to check the footage on my PC. Something like this is good to watch in HD - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3kUVDSuvU4U

I'll update this a little more when I've had a bit more time with the unit but so far I've been very impressed.

Feel free to ask me anything you'd like about either this unit or the DVR-027 I previously had.

Thanks guys,

Dan

In case you missed the link (way up) for this Freaky, it's here

This does look like a good unit if you want the screen or the next model up if you want GPS as well

http://www.navman.com.au/digital-drive-recorder/MiVue-Series/MiVue358/Overview/?gclid=CIinwrKgi7oCFc3CpAod03wAhg

Give us some more info on it as you get used to it please Dan

Has anyone found, or use, another type of Dash-Cam?

If so, let us know plz........

Yer sorry I missed that link above.

I've been looking at the navman one for a while , just waiting to go back to work before I buy one. The reviews I've seen have all been positive.

For those that may be installing the Power Magic Pro, there is the AFF that has the technical resource side.

If you do a search for install sunglass holder, there will be a threa showing how someone installed the sun glass holder in their Xr6T by the looks of it.

It also goes through the process of showing how to remove the pillar covers and stuff.

I would put the direct link here, but I think that is a direct violation of the laws on the forum.
