Turbotrana, I think he ordered his camera fro the original site posted originally and not from massdrop.

I am annoyed at the lack of communication from massdrop.com, but then again at that price....

At least the cameras have made it to their fulfillment centre.

Have edited this post as I logged onto the massdrop website and my transaction details have been updated. The camera apparently has been shipped and they even provide a UPS tracking number.

The camera is on its way. :)

^^whs^^

As I wrote in my post, once you get it fired up the first time, hit http://www.blackvue.com/en/contents/sub3.asp?mode=view&serboardsort=29&page=1&idx=1035&search=&searchstr= and download the new firmware to your comp and put the dash-cam SD card in and load the update.....

Does help

You BETTER make sure the Santa looks after the kids (& your Mrs) as well Angel....

OK, so a couple of pics of the install

\/ \/ \/ The power supply is just stuck on with some el'cheapo double sidded tape atm to make sure that it's in the right place, I.e. the red LED isn't in my face at night and where it is in the pic is good for me as the steering wheel covers it.

You can see where he cable-tied the cig connector for a 'just in case' situation.

And this is a shot from the dash-cam with the update installed.

As you will see in pic 1, I tried to get the cam as centred as I could and looking at the speaker mesh on the A-pillars in this shot, I did pretty well....... :dancing:

Another couple of things that I've noticed with the camera....

it does get a bit warm. I had it running all day yesterday leaving the car in the Sun (23c max here) to fill up the SD card and checked the cam a few times......warm - NOT hot.

Also,

now that I've done the sub fix, http://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/74886-fg-sub-fix I'm pumping Nova therefore I have turned the Mic Off as the recorded sound of the sub isn't good and makes each file slightly larger and also I noticed that it drops the video quality a bit.........turning the Mic off in the settings is a good thing really as people don't need to hear me bopping away to Flo Rida or Bruno Mars :dancing:
