It gets worse here in Nth Qld....with a higher percentage of Expensive Daewoo drivers and high wave of interest in '2 Fast 2 Furious' - I get challenged every time I step out in the T' by ricers and w@nkers alike. It was fun when I'd got the T' in the first couple of weeks, then it got boring as there were really no contenders, apart from a couple of fully worked STI's. But my validation to not give in to these idiots is that.......petrol is expensive these days and I'm not going to waste it on $hitheads and bogans trying to prove an unworthy point. Also my insurance is probably more than the $hitboxes that try and run with me.

The funny thing is you dont have to have a fast car for this type of attitude, but the funniest time was one day I was in my Jeep with a massive 80HP at the flywheel when brand new 20 years ago and 1.8T along with a wide ratio gear box and a ricer in a silvia wants to race. I think if I let it go at full throtle I might just get one of those 33" chunks of rubber to chirp and make it across the first line of the traffic lights before he changes to 2nd lol.

I did have the thought of driving over him at the next set of lights though but I was still rolling in laughter at the fool

Truthfully I really have had one or two incidents and they have unfortunatley been Expensive Daewoo Late model camira drivers. I've had other people do silly things like hang half way out their door shouting "Cool car man" but I haven't been in the situation where you are faced with the 'ultimate' moron. Not so much attracting boy racers but along similiar lines was out shopping last Sunday with SWMBO (yippee) and as usual park as far away from other cars as possible I'm talkin Chevy Chase at Wally World distance (if anyone has a clue what I'm talkin about) I've even got her in the habit now and come out of the shops no longer than 10 mins and low and behold there is the sh*ttiest, sh*tbox,sh*tter rust bucket right next to us with absolutely dozens of spaces easier to get at than the one next to us I'm sure they must have done it just to watch my reaction as we got back out to the car. This is totally frustrating no matter how much you try and protect your investment this sort of thing I guess is just bound to happen am I being totally paranoid better change those pills there's someone coming I can hear footsteps

Ha ha know exactly what you mean, glad I'm not the only one that does that though I copped a $150 parking fine the other day because of it. Better than $X00 worth of dents I suppose.

It is fustrating to come back and find some sh*tbox parked next to you when there are dozens of other car spaces around. Try strddling the line and take up two spaces next time though some idiot in some micro Suzuki or similar will try and park there.

Mate just like moth's to flame happened exactly like you described parked right on the line because the only park on the left was half grown over with shrubs from the garden so I thought I'll be safe on this side and give anyone who parks next to me some room on the right WRONG answer I still don't know how he got out of the car without damaging mine about 1 foot apart anyway no scratches or dings so guess I'm lucky

I think Blueprint is a magnet for trouble of another sought

Before this I drove the 'boring but sensible' white EF Xr6 and enjoyed 4 years of trouble free motoring.

With a change of colour to Blueprint my luck has turned for the worse. Since May 03:

1. 1 Dead Hare (fixed with a new fog light)

2. Damage to front passenger door episode #1 (fixed under insurance)

3. 1 Dead Cockatoo (fixed with a good deal of polish)

4. Damage to rear passenger door (to be fixed this weekend PDR)

5. Stonechip (fixed by O'Briens)

Is Blueprint an unlucky colour ?
