The front bush is voided/convoluted for comfort as you mention. What is harder to see is the bushes have compress to the point that they are loose in both the bore they site in and the up arm bracket. When the car is jacked up there is an airgap between the upper arm mounts and the end of the bushes.

If you need bushes locally again please let me know. I can arrange them through Brad @ Autoline in Bentley. His prices are very good and he carries most ford stuff on the shelf.

I replaced all my front end bushs with mackay brand (got every bush font and rear for about 250 bucks directly through mackay) and as much as it made a world of difference in handleing I found some super pro ones cheap about 5000k's later and changed them again (as well as brake disks)and have not had one bit of shudder since. also NVH is not bad if anything its just a little harsher but much much more safer handling etc

so at the moment I have all super pro front and the rear has whitline control blade bushs (factory ones are rubbish...knocks and swayness) and the rest of the rear is still near new mackay brand.

would it make any great difference if I was to upgrade the control arm bushs in the rear f the XR sedan with super pro etc? s its handling pretty good atm.

the upper and lower control arm ones?

I have all super pro in my BA. The only bushes I wouldn't do In Poly are the front lower shock mounting bush or the inner toe control arm bush on the rear.

The front lower shock bushes transfer alot of NVH through the steering wheel. Going back to stock rubber reduces the vibration but doesn't affect handling.

Running a poly bush in the inner rear toe control arm bushe position doesn't (imho) allow the lateral flex that require as the suspesion moves through its travel and can induce bumps steer from the rear end.

thanks, yeah forgot to mention that the lower shock mount bush is still the original lol

well ill leave it like it is, as like I said, it handles good in the rear end.

upgrading the rear control arm bushs to whitline made a world of difference even though the OEM style ones I had were basically brand new. straight away I noticed all the knocks in the rear end gone, much much better handling and also less wheel spin and more grip......well worth it IMO. (even though I got them for free lol)

cheers
