you wouldn't want the tune to fail to load then... you'd be stuck at the servo until it loaded correctly!

Neither did I camo. When I was doing fuel swaps id use a jerry and do it at home only becuase ive been stuck at the pump before.

so cool that the IAT's get dropped via convection currents from the ECU?

So need some help guys...

 

After giving the car a light flogging at the drags I was driving home down the hwy and there was a very loud squealing sound. Id say it sounded like an old kettle boiling.

take car off cruise control and apply accelerator a small bit and the noise got quieter...

pulled over at a servo to check it out and also get a drink and pump up tyres.Bloody loud and it sounds like it was coming from where the surge is mounted under the manifold on the passenger side.

restart car after 5 mins off and the sound has disappeared. I have not been able to replicate this sound in almost 2 weeks.

One theory: fuel pressure reg (fpr1200)

thanks to wiggum ive been able to put a guage on the fpr and when idling in the driveway under no load it sits at a constant 45-46psi. stab the throttle and it blips up then comes back down.

fpr working as intended or do I need to some more investigation?

 

I cant find anyone that stocks the diaphragm to rebuild these fpr's locally as they all say they have never seen one fault and to look elsewhere for a fault.

I bought my own fuel pressure gauge and the guy who sold it to me knows another tuner over here in WA and was told to tell me its the fuel boiling 100%

 

So theory 2 the Fuel is boiling. where do I start to investigate this and how?

any ideas would be great!
