I know I've already answered this thread but my goals have changed a little.

So to answer "how much power do I want?"............

Enough to wipe the floor with any LS1 at their Nationals!

Hi Peter, you state that after the cat there is 2psi of back preasure at 240kw. I have a couple of questions.

What is the back preasure of the standard system with the standard cat and would you know (or have an educated guess) at what the back preasure would be of the standard system with the centre muffler removed? In the original system is the cat the biggest restriction or would either the centre or rear mufflers be more restrictive?

With the APS scratch and dent exhaust is the $2000 including fitting and if so are there any left?

Thanks Geea.

Hi geea

From memory the total exhaust system back pressure at stock power (240Kw) is approx 7 Lbs, and with the centre muffler removed total B/P ia approx 6 to 6.5 Lbs.

Most of the B/P is in the engine pipe and stock cat converter (approx 4 to 5 Lbs) this is why APS designed a 3.5'' high flow cat converter as all of the 3'' cat converters we tested are no better than the stock FORD cat converter.

The price does not include installation which is approx a 2 hour job, as removing the stock exhaust is time consuming in particular removing the tail pipe rear muffler assembly is difficult.

We have one full exhaust system left in stock (most were sold on friday) so let me know ASAP if you want it. Hope this answer all of your questions.

I would recommend the "old" stage one from APS. Its Piggyback ECU only and will up the power from the stock 240fwkw to about 280 fwkw. It will also make the car more drivable and give you better fuel economy  The cost is about $1650 fitted and tuned, it is also completley removable if anything should happen that required a warranty on the drive train :nono:

The New Stage one now includes 6 fuel injectors and will take the car to 300fwkw

I will be doing this mode before the year is out.....that is if I get my car this year......My car must be on the slow production line

Talking about utes.. I noticed in the latest performance fords mag.. one of the advertisers had the APS phase 2 kit on special from $5900 to $5600 if I remember correctly... it then stated that this price is for sedans only... does this mean utes are more expensive??

If this is the case... would it mean that all phases are more expensive for the ute??

I would guess the reason would be because they probably have sedan kits in stock and want to move them. The ute kit would be different because of the different exhaust.
